Warning issued actions: Airport Tenants

All airport tenants are responsible for protection and security of property on their leaseholds.

Actions when watch is issued

  • Survey leasehold and remove trash and loose materials.
  • Place lightweight and movable equipment under shelter or secure appropriately.
  • Inspect and secure permanent appurtenances such as doors, signs, windows, fences, and gates.
  • Notify aircraft owners under tenant management to prepare for relocation to other areas.

Actions when warning is issued

  • Secure all remaining working equipment, including non-flyable aircraft.
  • Secure or remove garbage cans, dumpsters, and signs.
  • Do not place potential flying debris in airport dumpsters once warning is issued.
  • Relocate flyable aircraft to other geographic areas, place under suitable shelter, or secure as appropriate.
  • Protect breakables such as glass windows and doors; brace and tie down hangar doors as required.
  • Cooperate with Airports Authority to complete all actions needed for collective protection.
